History of Crescent H Ranch
The 1,500-acre Crescent H Ranch opened in 1927 as Jack Hinz’s dude ranch with a lodge and cabins that still remain on the land.
The land transferred to Don Albrecht in 1963. His family split the property into a 750-acre ranch and recreation easement and 750 acres dedicated to 42 homesites. The dude ranch continues to operate each summer, allowing access to horseback riding, lodge meals, fishing, tennis and activities in Bridger Teton National Forest that surrounds the ranch.
In large sales for the time, the lots went for between $190,000 for treed sites and $550,000 for the lots featuring the best views.
