History of HHR Ranches subdivision
HHR Ranches preserves the old West roots of Jackson Hole and marries it to conservation. The Hardeman Ranch — which uses an HHR cattle brand — originally enveloped the current site of the HHR Ranches.
In 1996, HHR Ranches with its 27 lots of 3 to 4 acres came to life. People loved the flat lots, open water and outdoor recreation access the properties offered.
HHR no longer functions as a working ranch, but it largely retains the open space and feel through conservation easements that will keep the land perpetually open and green.
Even the post-card setting of the Hardeman barns remains intact. But the buildings are currently used to house the Teton Raptor Center, a non-profit that resuscitates injured eagles, owls, falcons and the like.
